Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
Catania Coast Italian ("Catania," "we," "us"), a Whisknladle Hospitality restaurant, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (cataniasd.com), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
Identifiers and contact details you provide — name, email, phone — when you sign up for our newsletter, submit the contact or careers form, or reach out to us.
Reservation and order information handled by our third-party providers (OpenTable for reservations, Toast and DoorDash for ordering). Information you enter there is governed by their privacy policies as well as this one.
Internet and device activity collected automatically — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and interactions — gathered through cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel.
Approximate location derived from IP address.
We collect this information from you directly, automatically from your device as you use the site, and from the third-party reservation, ordering, and analytics providers listed above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiries and applications, send marketing you've opted into, operate and improve the site, measure our advertising, and comply with law.
How we share it, and "sharing" for advertising
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we have not sold personal information for monetary consideration in the preceding 12 months. However, we use Google and Meta advertising and analytics tools that receive online activity data through cookies. Under California law, this use of cross-context behavioral advertising is considered "sharing." You have the right to opt out (see "Your choices and rights").
We also share personal information with service providers who operate the site and our reservation, ordering, email, and analytics tools, and as required by law or to protect our rights.
In the preceding 12 months, the categories we have shared for cross-context behavioral advertising are identifiers and internet/device activity, disclosed to Google and Meta. We have not shared any other category for advertising.
Your choices and rights
California residents have the right to:
Know and access the personal information we've collected about you.
Delete personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To opt out of advertising cookies, use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our website footer to reopen your cookie preferences and turn Advertising off. We also recognize and process Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device from which the signal is sent.
To submit a request to know, delete, or correct: email info@wnlhosp.com with the details of your request, or call us at (858) 551-5105 and we will help you submit it. We will verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Cookies
We use necessary cookies (required for the site to function), performance/analytics cookies, and advertising cookies. Performance and advertising cookies load only after you consent through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the footer link.
Data retention
We keep each category of personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, then delete or de-identify it. In general, we keep contact and inquiry details while we are communicating with you and for a reasonable period afterward; newsletter information until you unsubscribe; and job-application information for the duration of the hiring process and a reasonable period afterward. Analytics and advertising information collected through cookies is retained according to the settings in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta, which are generally up to 14 to 26 months. Where the law requires us to keep information longer, we do so.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the "Last updated" date above.
